The Last of Us sequel has been something we’ve known about, yet not known about. The worst kept secret over the past few months finally gets an official real during this weekends PlayStation Experience event.

Following on the cliffhanger ending that left fans divided, part 2 sees a much older Ellie and Joel dealing with a word that doesn’t see much better than when we last saw them.

But the biggest question (at least for me) is what the relationship is between Ellie and Joel after all these years, and more specifically, does she…know? 

The Last of Us Part II is still early in development, but we already can’t wait where the story takes us. Here’s to hoping the gameplay gets an upgrade as the original did end up feeling a bit repetitive.
