Microsoft gives us the Conker game nobody wanted for the $3,000 HoloLens!

Young Conker

We all know RARE is a shell of its former self. I’ve met several lovely people from the development house and can tell you that they are really solid people doing good work, but it just seems to me that Microsoft has absolutely no idea what to do with the studio or its properties. But of all the games in the RARE library the one that connects most with people is Conker’s Bad Fur Day. What made the game special was that it stared a foul-mouthed, drunk, and pissed off Squirrel on his quest to save his overly sexualized girlfriend and get home after a bad bender.  Sure, it doesn’t sound all that out of the question today, but when Conker came out it was a big deal. An even bigger deal is that it came out on the family friendly Nintendo 64. Imagine the thought of the most mature game available at the time being a Nintendo exclusive.

Now Conker returns as Young Conker, but not for a console and not as our foul-mouthed friend. Instead we are getting a Microsoft HoloLens game(?) starring a much cuter critter than we are used to. Young Conker is part of a three-game bundle that will come with the upcoming HoloLens development get that goes on pre-order this March. These games are set to show of some of the capabilities of this new technology for development teams looking to create new world to experience. While you will be able to snag yourself a kit (if you’re lucky) for the low, low price of $3,000! Don’t freak out about the price (as so many on the internet are) as this is a DEVELOPMENT KIT!

I guess it may be a good thing most of us won’t be playing this very creepy looking Young Conker. You can check out the video below showing off a very sober and clean-looking Conker.
