The new trailer for ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ shows us Peter’s coming of age story

Spider-Man: Homecoming keeps looking better and better. This finally feels like the Spider-Man movie that Marvel always wanted to make, because it’s the one Marvel is making.

Spider-Man has always been a coming of age story about a high-school kid with high-school problems that just happens to have these incredible powers too.

The latest trailer dives deeper into Peter’s struggles as well as the Vulture, the baddie that has it in for old web-head. The only thing is that I feel they show a little too much in the trailer.

Most specifically the Staten Island Ferry scene that has sort of become iconic thanks to the first trailer. Kinda loses its cinematic punch when the trailer shows how Spider-Man overcomes the situation.

Still, the trailer looks good and this one is primed to be the blockbuster movie of the summer. Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters in July.
