Sony will terminate Ustream support on PS4 this August

PS4

Streaming your game sessions online is big business nowadays. I don’t really understand it all, even though I do it myself from time to time, but who am I to tell kids to not watch people play games if they enjoy it.

That being said it looks like a streaming platform is biting the bullet on the PlayStation 4. Ustream is apparently still a thing people use (who would have guessed) but it seems that Sony is dropping support for it come August.

PS4 users will no longer be able to broadcast their games to the service through the console, and likewise they will not be able to watch content through the service. This applies to PS4, the PlayStation App, and the PS Vita.

But all is not lost as those looking to stream and hoping to be the next (insert popular streamer here) can still broadcast using YouTube, Twitch, and even dailymotion. Not sure how large the Ustream community was, but here’s hoping the transition to another service is smooth for gamers and their fans.
