‘Star Child’ Nominated for Most Anticipated PSVR Title by People That Still Care About VR

Since being announced during Sony’s E3 press conference this year, Star Child, the mysterious, cinematic platformer developed by Playful Corp, has received some interest from fans that are still clinging onto VR as a viable platform around the globe. Adding to the game’s momentum(?), PlayStation.Blog just nominated Star Child for its Most Anticipated PSVR Title of 2018 award.

“We are honored by the excitement fans have shown for Star Child,” says Mark Stanley, Chief Business Officer of Playful. “This nomination from PlayStation for the Most Anticipated PSVR Title of 2018 award is a welcome shot of adrenaline for our team.”

I’m still not entirely sure why a platformer is coming to any sort of VR device as that sort of stands against the idea of the whole format. Still, VR needs a shot in the arm right about now if it’s going to survive through 2018.

Cast your vote for Star Child here; polls are open now through 11:59pm Pacific time on December 31, 2017.
