The next film to feature the continuing voyages of the starship Enterprise and here crew finally has a title. Director Justin Lin revealed that the Star Trek 3 will use the official title, Star Trek Beyond. He also released the first teaser image via his twitter from the set (below).

As a fan of the reboot series, even knowing it pales to the original films, and even more so than the series, I really enjoyed the last two films for what they were. I just hope with this third installment we get away from all the connections to the past and get to the five-year mission bit. It’s time this new Star Trek found its own legs and I hope Star Trek Beyond does just that.
