Has Star Wars found its villain?

Has J.J. Abrams cast his villain for Star Wars: Episode VII? According to The Hollywood Reporter, the answer is yes. Supposedly, Abrams is looking at none other than Adam Driver to fill the role of a Sith reportedly “very similar to Darth Vader.”

If you like good movies, you know Driver from Lincoln and Inside Llewyn Davis; if you’re a hipster doofus, you know him from Girls. I’m not 100% sold on this casting – mainly because, if I’m right, it’s the same part that Michael Fassbender was said to be testing for – but I’ll give Abrams the benefit of the doubt. I always thought Star Trek was stupid, but he shut me right up about that.
