The Steve Carell North Korea Thriller Pyongyang Has Been Canceled

Pyongyang

Another film falls in the wake of the  Sony hack and  the cancellation of The Interview. New Regency Pictures has cancelled the upcoming film Pyongyang, a film that would have starred Steve Carell.

The film is based on a graphic novel by Guy DeLisle and would have been a thriller and  told the story of a westerner working in North Korea for a year. TheWrap has stated that filming was set to begin in March of 2015.

Who knows what’s next, but it sure seems to look like studios will bend over backwards to any perceived threat from a hacker group.
