The Strain, from Guillermo del Toro and Carlton Cuse is coming back for a third season this August. The show, based on the award-winning The Strain Trilogy has released a trailer for the upcoming season. FX’s Eric Schrier said that:
“Guillermo and Carlton have delivered two thrilling seasons of The Strainthat are captivating and visually arresting, doing justice to the original novel trilogy and meeting fans’ high expectations in the process.”
Season 3 will pick up with New York City now a battleground that has been abandoned by the federal government. Now the locals that are left are deadlocked in a struggle with the Strigoi in a fight for survival. At the same time The Master is busying working to transform the entire world in his own image.
