There have been a lot of rumors surrounding the casting of Suicide Squad. The film, which will be directed by Training Day‘s David Ayer, doesn’t start shooting in Toronto until April, but casting has already been announced, and a lot of it confirms those rumors.
Jared Leto will play the Joker, who will now have a man-bun and listen to shitty screamo rock…
Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street), the most beautiful woman on the planet, will play Harley Quinn…
Will Smith will play Deadshot. This was the biggest surprise to me, because I didn’t think that 1, WB would throw Will Smith money behind Suicide Squad, or 2, that Will Smith would be willing to be part of an ensemble.
Tom Hardy will play Rick Flagg…
Cara Delevingne will play Enchantress, because nothing says “I’m taking this seriously” like casting a fucking model…
And Jai Courtney, the unlikable guy from A Good Day to Die Hard, will play Captain Boomerang…
We’ll keep you updated on any future casting, or WB’s inevitable explanation for why they’re gonna go for a PG-13.
