The Hollywood Reporter, via (sigh) CelebStoner, is reporting that Jay Chandrasekhar is working on a new Cheech and Chong movie.

“He’s working a script right now for us,” Chong explains. “We’ve had some preliminary meetings. It looks really good. It looks really funny. It will be about us going to a festival called the Burning Joint. All sorts of shenanigans happen. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Cheech and Chong haven’t been in a full-length movie since 1983’s Still Smokin, so our 31-year nightmare is over, everyone! A whole new generation can be exposed to the humor of people like Cheech and Chong, and Doug Benson, all of whom joke about exactly one thing over and over.
