T-Mobile is Taking On Cable TV

Plans to have things ready in 2018.

T-Mobile is taking on the big cable companies. By acquiring Layer3 TV Inc., a television technology company, they plan to merge their structure with Layer3’s technology to provide a better cable Un-Carrier. As they state in the video, 8 of the 10 most hated brands in the U.S. are cable companies (one of the other 2 is probably EA), and they seek to offer an alternative in much the same way they disrupted the mobile industry.

Also, I think I just have to state how savage John Legere was in that video. Man pulled no punches against his soon-to-be competitors. More than anything else, that convinced me. That was, like, 5 minutes of unrestrained kicks to the nuts. We’ll see where all this leads next year, though.
