Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Suddenly Releases on Mobiles Without Warning

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is considered by many the greatest entry in the Castlevania series. It’s a core Konami title that holds a special place in gamer’s hearts and in gaming history.

So that’s why it’s strange that a mobile port of the PlayStation classic has suddenly released for iOS and Android devices for a paltry $2.99. It features all-new touchscreen controls, menus, controller support, and a new continue feature.

We are unsure which version of the game this port is based on but most people seem to think it’s based on the PSP version that also found a home on the PS4, and not on the original PlayStation release.

The game is the same and as fantastic as ever, but it also means all the terrible voice acting and cringe-worthy script work is missing, replaced by less memorable lines. But while in return players get an extra boss fight against Maria which is pretty neat.
