The film series that made Brendan Fraser a star, before also tearing him down with whatever the hell that third entry was (don’t even get me started about that terrible spinoff starting a very young Dwayne Johnson) is back!
The new project stars Tom Cruise, so you can expect to see him running from something as the world around him explodes. And in that respect this teaser does not disappoint.
The film does look to be taking a far less silly approach which could go either way with these sorts of classic monster revivals. The Fraser films (at least the first two) were a lot of fun and made a lot of money, but a lot of recent serious monster reboots have done quite poorly.
Fingers crossed this one works. Now if you’ll excuse me I’m going to re-watch the Hammer version with Lee and Cushing!
