Tom Hardy Drops Out Of Suicide Squad Film

Tom Hardy Suicide Squad

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting (I love typing that) that Tom Hardy has just dropped out of the Suicide Squad movie. Hardy was originally cast to play  Rick Flagg, his second time taking on a villainous role in the DCU.

While Rick Flag is no Bane, we were still excited to see him back with DC in some capacity. Unfortunately, it seems Hardy has had to drop out of production thanks in part to a scheduling conflict with his current film, The Revenant which is taking much longer than planned and thus conflict with the Suicide Squad start date in April.

With such a stellar cast, it’s sad to see him go, but we hope that something can be worked out before filming begins this April. Suicide Squad opens in theaters August 5, 2016.
