Begun, the streamer war has.

With the rise of Mixer, and their poaching of Ninja and a number of other prominent streamers, Twitch is no longer quite so secure at the top of the hill. And they’ve got a plan for that.

Because they’re signing multi-year exclusivity contracts with some of their top streamers. To wit, they’ve already inked deals with Lirik, Timthetatman, and Drlupo. The three of them each announced the deal via their Twitter accounts.

Considering the fact that Mixer very successfully lured a number of former Twitch streamers away with a similarly exclusive contract, this probably isn’t much of a surprise. Still, it’s odd to think that you live in a world where streamers get contracts through something like an NFL draft.
