The World Ends With You, the much-loved Square Enix RPG that graced the original Nintendo DS, is coming back in a remixed form for the Nintendo Switch. Almost 10 years after its original release (don’t you feel old now) this remix edition will feature a new control option, while still keeping the original touchscreen controls.
Fans of the original will also be able to play what Nintendo is calling a “new scenario” that will be exclusive to the console. The World Ends With You was a massive hit that spawned a number of spin-offs on other mobile platforms. None of these platforms included a Nintendo machine, they all released on iOS and Android for some reason, but this remixed edition marks its return to a Nintendo console.
The World Ends With You Final Remix launches later this year on the Nintendo Switch.
