Wrestlemania XXX Preview and Predictions

Every year we have that one event that makes us forget about everything else around us. That one event that takes us days, weeks or maybe even months to plan. That one event that makes you forget about all the personal problems you’re having in those couple of hours or days before. This one event makes men into legends, and legends into immortals. That one event that makes you yell from at top of your lungs, while a person goes up and drops with a mighty elbow, a massive body slam, or a leg drop that can be heard around the world. This magical event that I’m talking about is WrestleMania XXX.

Were less than 72 hours away from the most epic event of the the year.   Here are the predictions of what’s going to go down at the Superdome this Sunday. Let me know your thoughts in the comments down below on whom you will be cheering for the Sunday.

Pre Show: Fatal four-way tag team match for the WWE Tag Team Championship

Competitors: The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) (c) vs. The Real Americans (Cesaro and Jack Swagger) vs. Ryback and Curtis Axel vs. Los Matadores (Diego and Fernando)
Macintosh HD:Users:user:Desktop:20140325_Fatal4Way_LIGHT_HP.jpg

Another match that I shook my head at. How in the hell did Los Matadores earn their shot of the Tag Team Titles? Please some on let me know. I understand why Ryaxel (Ryback & Curtis Axel) is in, along with my 2nd favorite tag team next to The Brotherhood (Goldust & Cody Rhodes), The Real Americans. Don’t get me wrong, I love The Usos, but it was best for them to have to win their titles at WrestleMania, and have the Brotherhood come in as champions (Not The New Age Outlaws).

As for which team is going to be the winner of this match. It’s going to be a hard one to choose, although many will say The Usos will have the advantage, for the simple fact that they just got their tag titles. My gut tells me that The Real Americans will be the ones that are going to take the titles. Besides, I think is about time for Cesaro to have some gold on him, along with Zeb and  Jack as well, I guess.

Prediction: The Real Americans as The New Tag Team Champs

14-Diva single-fall “Vickie Guerrero Invitational” match for the WWE Divas Championship

Competitors:  AJ Lee (c) vs. Naomi vs. Cameron vs. Brie Bella vs. Nikki Bella vs. Natalya vs. Eva Marie vs. Emma vs. Aksana vs. Alicia Fox vs. Summer Rae vs. Rosa Mendes vs. Layla vs. Tamina Snuka

Macintosh HD:Users:user:Desktop:20140324_Diva_MatchPreview_LIGHT_HP.jpg

If you follow me on Twitter you may know how bold I am about the divas (womens) division, and how I bash the WWE for being more focused on their silly reality show, then having a good solid women division.  When Vickie Guerrero announced that this year, the Diva’s title would be a 14-Diva single-fall match, and would be called a “Vickie Guerrero Invitational” I just shook my head and couldn’t believe it.

You see, the WWE should have been more focused on AJ Lee having one or even three opponents. As a matter of fact, it should have been AJ lee against Natalya, Naomi, Brie Bella or even Nikki Bella (Have the Bella go against each other on the go away show before Mania); then add Tamina Snuka by the request of AJ Lee (so she can feel safe).  Either way, the outcome of this match should be simple, AJ Lee must keep the title; there’s no another choice. At least until the WWE is willing to put some time and effort, similar as last year, with AJ and Kaitlyn. I’m all for AJ Lee dropping the title, until then AJ Lee is my girl to win.

Prediction: AJ Lee will retain

30-man battle royal for the André the Giant Memorial Trophy

Macintosh HD:Users:user:Desktop:20140331_AndreCup_Match_LIGHT_HP.jpg

Announced by WrestleMania 30 host ,“The Immortal” Hulk Hogan whose bodyslam of Andre at WrestleMania III in front of 93,000 WWE fans remains one of the most iconic Show of Shows moments. This year, 30 competitors will seek to create there own WrestleMania moment.

The following Superstars has joined to make their own WrestleMania moment:

• Dolph Ziggler
• Intercontinental Champion, Big E
• Fandango
• Alberto Del Rio
• Damien Sandow
• Titus O’Neil
• Christian
• Sheamus
• Big Show
• Mark Henry
• Heath Slater
• Jinder Mahal
• Drew McIntyre
• Cody Rhodes
• Goldust
• Kofi Kingston
• The Miz
• Brodus Clay
• Darren Young
• Justin Gabriel
• Rey Mysterio
• R-Truth
• Santino Marella
• The Great Khali
• Zack Ryder
• Sin Cara
• Brad Maddox

Realistically, we all know why they made this match. They had no idea what to do with the rest of these people on the roster.  Although, there are some matches they could’ve made within these group of wrestlers.  For example, Goldust against Cody Rhodes, or a Fatal 4 for the Intercontinental Champion. The list can really go on and on.  There are still three spots remaining for this match which can make for a amount of surprise appearances.   If I can make, predictions of the next three competitors (it’s my job) it will be Ron Van Dam, Alexander Rusev, and a Hall of Famer (Maybe Jake The Snake or Scott Hall). As for the winner of this battle royal, there are three wrestlers that satnd out. Dolph Ziggler, Damien Sandow and Big Show make for the best odds. The reason why I mentioned these three is because two of them really need it, career wise, and the other one has been the most predictable choice for most.  Not to mention, that they keep on praising him week after week on TV. If there is a wild card choice it would have to be between either Sheamus or Titus O’Neil, just for the fact they also need more exposure right now, but I would only accept Sheamus as a winner if he turns Heel.

Prediction(s): Dolph Ziggler, Damien Sandow or Big Show

Wild Card(s): Sheamus or Titus O’Neil

Six-man tag team match

Competitors: The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns) vs. The Authority (Kane & The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg and Billy Gunn)).Macintosh HD:Users:user:Desktop:20140314_MatchPreview_LIGHT_HP.jpg

Many fans may not be excited for this match, but I am. I’m glad to see that WWE is keeping The Shield together, for the moment at least.  Although, they are going up against against Kane, who has remarkably toned up his physique, and The New Age Outlaws who still wrestle like is 1999.  This match might be one of the top matches of the night, due to its story-line and the ability of all six men.

It’s not The Shield Vs. The Wyatt Family, but it’s close. If I have to go for a winner, of course it’s going to be The Shield. As for who going to pin who, I’m pretty sure it would be Roman Reigns taking down Corporate Kane, with a massive Superman punch and topping it off with a painful spear.

Prediction: The Shield as Winner

Singles match (John Cena’s Legacy on the line)

Competitors: Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena

Macintosh HD:Users:user:Desktop:20140221_MatchPreview_CenaBray_LIGHT_HP.jpg

I know this might be a bold prediction, but I believe that the match between Bray Wyatt and John Cena might be the match of the night. Not only because of the wrestling, but the story that both of these men bring.

Especially Bray Wyatt, whom has become one of my favorite top wrestlers today. Not only can this man can wrestle, but also every time he speaks it turns to gold (promo wise). Did I also mention the amazing video package they have for this match? In the words of good old Jim Ross “BAH GAWD”! Who knew that Eminem and Bray Wyatt would fit so perfectly together.

Anyway, the build up for this Match has been neatly organized, although it’s more thanks to Bray Wyatt than John Cena.  Cena is coming into this match as the underdog, and the man that is trying to save his legacy. While on the other hand, Bray is coming in as the man of the future, the man that is sick and tried of all false idols giving false messages to others.

As for the prediction, the smart fan in us all knows that John Cena will win, not to mention that the rest of the Wyatt family might be at ringside helping out Bray. But the hopeful fan will wish for Bray Wyatt to win, and win clean. Because if there is one thing we should learn about Wrestlemania is that anything can happen. Furthermore, this event is about the future of wrestling, and who would be leading it in the next 10 years. After witnessing what Bray can bring to the table with promos, along with ring ability is kind of a no brainer not to give this win to him. But this is John Cena were talking about, the man that gets hit by a car, train, planet, and still kicks out of two.

Prediction: Bray Wyatt

Singles match (The Streak Vs. The Beast)

Competitors: The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar
Macintosh HD:Users:user:Desktop:20140224_MatchPreview_LIGHT_HP.jpg

As mentioned before, the last match of the night will probably become the match of the night. I’m not trying to say I have lost faith in The Undertaker, but for the fact that this feud between him and Brock Lesnar just doesn’t feel like an Undertaker match. If WWE were smart about it, they would have brought back the “American Bad-Ass” taker for this one, because it was that Undertaker that started messing with the idea of him and Brock Lenser going at in Mania.

Either way it doesn’t matter, because throughout the whole build up of this match, they have made Brock Lenser look weak and not like a threat to a man with a 21-0 steak at Wrestlemania. Don’t get me wrong, this match would be good; Brock will sell amazingly to Taker and Taker will do what he has to do to make sure he gives us a quality Wrestlemania match. But at the end of the day, the build up was just disappointing.

Prediction: The Undertaker 22-0

Singles match for the third spot in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Triple

Competitors: Triple H vs. Daniel Bryan

Macintosh HD:Users:user:Desktop:20140306_MatchPreview_LIGHT_HP_BryanHHH.jpg

Well it’s about damn time these two go at it, espically after the screw job finish that was Summer slam. You would have thought these two would have hashed it out by around Royal Rumble or even Hell In A Cell. But no, these two are going to fight it out at WrestleMania, and whoever wins that match foes on to the Main Event, for a Triple Threat Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Honestly, I have no idea why Triple H would want another title reign. His boat has already sailed to that fact. They should have made it official that if he would have lost this match he needed to retire. But apparently that’s not enough for the King of Kings. He needed another title shot to show the world that he is that damn good. For Bryan, were not sure why he needs to do all of this. He has showed us over and over why he should be the one running the company as its champion. I mean for crying out loud, it’s pretty hard to go outside without seeing someone doing the ‘yes chant’ in a sporting event, or even in a club (yes that has happened to me).  This match is going to be a good one, and maybe even a great one, that might go down in history. All I can say is this; I’m going for the Yes Movement.

Prediction: Daniel Bryan

Triple Threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Competitors:  Randy Orton (c) vs. Batista vs. (Triple H or Daniel Bryan)

Macintosh HD:Users:user:Desktop:20140318_MatchPreview_LIGHT_HP_BatistaOrtonMystery.jpg

Lastly, we are up to the main event, which no one really gave a damn, at least until the announcement of a triple threat was made. Althoug, Batista was ok in my book in headlining, we were all kind of done with Randy Orton being champion. No mattes what happens in this match, it’s going to be a hell of a match. I’m pretty sure that Daniel Bryan will be join the match, but I won’t be shock to see Triple H screwing his chances yet again.  I won’t even be surprised if Batista wins it all, but I know if I state that out loud, the whole of the Internet wrestling community will go crazy.  I will be cheering for the yes movement and Daniel Bryan to win it.  But at this point, I won’t be shocked at all to see the animal Batista to win it all.

Prediction: Daniel Bryan as The New WWE World Heavyweight Championship
