YouTube Locks Down Streamer Contracts In Prep For Great Streamer War

Benefit Livestream for Australia planned.

In the wake of Ninja’s departure from Twitch, the other major livestreaming hubs have been preparing for the oncoming arms race. Twitch locked down their (remaining) top 3, and now YouTube is going to do the same. To that end, they’re signing deals with LazarBeam, Muselk and Valkyrae; between the three of them, a combined total of over 21 million subscribers.

Coincidentally, Muselk is already scheduled to hold a charity stream to benefit the current Australian bushfire crisis. He’s doing so in cooperation with Click Management and LazarBeam. The goal is to raise $1 million AUD to benefit the ongoing efforts to stop the fires. The stream is (should be, at least) running right now (click here), and you are encouraged to donate to the #fightthefires GoFundMe page as well.
