No Die Antwoord in sight
Neill Blomkamp (District 9, Chappie) started his own experimental studio a little while back. Oats Studios has released a few short films previously; an alien invasion film called Rakka, and an alternate-history Vietnam War film, Firebase. The most recent, Zygote, featuring Dakota Fanning, just came out, and is available on Youtube.
Like most of Blomkamp’s work it has a few running themes; shady Corporate practices, body horror, man’s inhumanity to man. In this case, however, it’s styled as a science fiction horror film, in the vein of The Thing or Alien. Only, it’s more like The Thing by way of Frankenstein. Honestly, it just might be better to watch it before I give too much away. Zygote’s only the length of the average half-hour television show, sans commercials. So give it a look; maybe it’ll pique your interest.
