Comic book legend Stan Lee dies at 95

Legendary writer, editor and publisher of Marvel Comics who helped crate some of the most iconic superheros of all time has passed way at the age of 95.

Lee is responsible for the creation of The Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Black Panther, Nick Fury, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, The X-Men, Spider-Man and many more. It’s safe to say that the Marvel Cinematic Universe would not exist without Lee’s work.

He started out at Marvel Comics (then Timley Comics) as an editor before working his way up to the top spot in the company. He is also known for developing the “Marvel Method” of comic storytelling that had artists illustrate the book without dialogue and let writers come in after to fill in the blanks.

Lee had a renaissance as the Marvel Cinematic Universe blossomed with the debut of Spider-Man and the X-Men in the early 200’s. He went on to cameo in dozens of Marvel-based films as well as appearances in several television programs.
