The Notebook director headed to Wall Street

Nick Cassavetes, director of The Notebook, Alpha Dog, John Q, and the forthcoming The Other Woman, has lined up his next project. According to Variety, Cassavetes will direct Carousel for All for One, One for All Entertainment.

Produced by Richard Salvatore (The Big Wedding), among others, Carousel, written by Alan Saretsky, centers around Saretsky’s real-life experience of “going from the streets of New York City to a rogue broker taking Wall Street by storm.” Whatever that means. It sounds like the first forty-five minutes of The Wolf of Wall Street, but Carousel is being touted as a thriller, so maybe there will be a decently sharp edge to the film.
