Warner Bros. building a Minecraft movie

Warner Bros. building a Minecraft movie…

Well, this will certainly please GAMbIT Editor-in-Chief Jorge Luis – we all know how much he loves Minecraft. (You should seriously take a few minutes to read that article.)

Per The Los Angeles Times, Warner Bros. is looking to capitalize on the success of The LEGO Movie by moving forward with an adaptation of its bastardized clone Minecraft. Personally, I don’t understand the success of Minecraft; it seems like a cheap knockoff of LEGO, only instead of exploring your imagination and stoking the fires of creativity, you spend five hours building pixelated dongs and trying to get cats to jump off of them (I’ve, uh…I’ve never played the game).

The movie is being overseen by Roy Lee, a producer on The LEGO Movie. What do you guys think, are you excited?
